Who we are…
We are a production company specializing in workflows for large format, virtual production, VR, colour for animation, high-end 9×16 productions as well as traditional film acquisition.
We have worked on all facets of the film making process and understand where roadblocks will present themselves before you shoot your first frame.
We know mixed media. Do you want to incorporate traditional stop-motion, iPhone acquisition and 65mm film into the same project? No problem!
We have been involved in many industry firsts where we have to solve an impossible problem and build a solution from scratch.
The only limitation is your imagination; if you can dream it, we can make it happen.

About the legend…
What is The Legend of the Chicken Nachos? Is it an ancient culinary myth? Is it something a group of skateboarding teenagers thought of in front of a 7-11 while jacked up on too much caffeine? Or is it just a nonsense name cooked up in random word generator?
One thing that is for sure, it’s the name of our company which was formed in 2016 when Michael Lafuente began production on his Award-winning documentary film, “American Cosplayer.” After production ended, Michael was hired for a gig at Disney to work on their first HDR films and his little company continured growing.
Over time, we became the color and large format production experts, won another film festival with another film we produced, and continued growing our client base. We now have worked with companies such as Sony Pictures, FOX, Disney, NBC Universal, Amazon Studios, and The MSG Sphere, as well as overseas customers in Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
We have also designed our own cinema camera array for capturing 360 videos for VR and virtual production plates as well as our special 9×16 Arri Alexa 35 rig.
We have the gear, the staff and the know-how on tap to make big cinematic images.*
*Although we should have probably picked a better name.
